Utilizing bicycle parking
In order to ensure compliance with regulations governing the use of bicycle parking lots, bicycle parking lots located within illegal parking zones are being converted to pay lots (at 95 stations as of January 2007). Administrators are on duty in pay bicycle parking lots and are charged with keeping the lots orderly and clean.

This sign is posted at pay bicycle parking lots operated by Osaka City.

Directions and fees applicable to pay parking lots
You can enter into a fixed term contract for one or three months or use on a temporary use basis (same day). Apply at the lot in which you are interested.
  • Administrators are on duty between 06:30 and 20:00.
  • No administrators are on duty on national holidays and during the year-end and New Year holidays (Dec. 29 - Jan. 3).
  • As the bicycle parking lot is open even during hours when an administrator is not on duty, you may use the lot to park your bicycle at any time of the day. (Not applicable to all parking lots.)
Bicycle parking lots are facilities designed to accommodate the parking of bicycles and other such vehicles and are not meant to be used for storage. Please attach your bicycle or other such vehicle to the rail or bar located in the designated space with the use of a chain lock or appropriate alternative device. The city of Osaka will not be held responsible for the theft of or damages caused to bicycles or other such attached vehicles and cargo items.
