 The Museum was founded as a foundation in the 35th year of Showa, where Articles of Japanese traditional folk handcraft are displayed, so that the preservation and spread of those skills is intended to be made possible.
 It holds 30,000 pieces of such ancient ceramics, modern chinawares, handcrafts of gold, bamboo and straw, Japanese papers, glass, dyed goods, lacquered wares and so on.
 The exhibits are changed every two or three months.
