| Sewerage charges in major cities |
| Here is Osaka City's scheme of sewerage charges: 577 yen up to 10 m3;
beyond 10 m3, the larger the water
volume used, the higher the unit price. The volume of water consumed
by an ordinary household per month is approx.
20 m3, which translates into 1,218 yen in sewerage charges. This means
that the sewerage charge is lowest among major cities (23 wards in Tokyo
and government-ordinance-designated cities). |
