| ■About Yumeshima |
|
Situated at the Port of Osaka, the center of Osaka Bay, Yumeshima is a huge reclaimed island with an area of approx. 390ha. Yumeshima consists of two areas: the initially developed area (approx. 140ha), which already completed reclamation process; and the area to be developed in the future (approx. 250ha) where reclamation works continue and will undergo phased construction. |

■Yumeshima’s Potential |

◇As the Strategic International Container Port, high-level logistics functions are accumulated in Yumeshima, which enables the Port to meet the needs of international logistics.
◇Its extensive transport networks can deal with any transport modes regardless of land, air, and sea.

Approx. 40 minutes by car to the Kansai International Airport
Approx. 15 minutes by car from Osaka’s business center
◇An undersea tunnel directly links Yumeshima and Sakishima/Cosmo Square.
◇Large area is available near the city center for development. |

■Initially Developed Area
Approximately 40ha of the initially developed area has been improved as the Industrial and Logistics Zone and with a target of accommodating factories and large-scale logistical facilities, the zone is advertised for sale to new and advancing business entities.
With the initially developed area formed with the Yumeshima Container Terminal and the area directly behind the Container Terminal, we aim for logistical optimization through the establishment of distribution warehouses. Furthermore, by creating more shipment activities through promoting the establishment of frontier industries, making the most of the area’s designation as a Comprehensive International Strategy Zone, we make utmost efforts toward strengthening its international logistics functions as Strategic International Container Ports. |

■Yumesaki Tunnel
Yumesaki tunnel, which promotes the town-establishment of Yumeshima while ensuring the shipment of container freight that supports various industries and the lives of the citizens, is an access road linking Sakishima and Yumeshima (Opened in August, 2009) |

■Yumemai Bridge
Linking Maishima and Yumeshima Islands, the Yumemai Bridge is an integral part of the area's transport system. The bridge, of moveable swing-type arch construction, is capable of being swung open in the event that the port's main passage becomes impassable. This unique design makes it the first of its kind in the world. |
