Osaka City Service Counters

In addition to issuing copies of documents like the Certificate of Residence, the Osaka City service counters located in the Umeda, Namba, and Tennoji terminals provide information on municipal government topics and city-sponsored promotions.

We regret that certificates cannot be issued by mail.

Weekdays (Monday-Friday) 9 A.M. to 7 P.M.

Saturday, Sunday, & holidays 10 A.M. to 7 P.M.

Certificates and Other Services

Service Counters can issue copies of family register, the Certificate of Residence, etc., as well as furnish forms for family register reports. Service Counters also provide information about municipal government, Osaka housing information, and Osaka municipal transportation guidance (Namba only). Consumer affairs consulting is also available at the Tennoji counter from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
*English language information is available at all Service Counters (Korean language information is also available at the Namba Service Counter).

Seal (in addition to your signature), proof of identity, authorization in cases of request by proxy (not necessary when members of the same family register); person acting proxy must also provide proof of their own identity. When making proxy requests for certificates Ward of the Court status, Bankruptcy, or Legal Capacity to be Married, authorization is required.

*Items marked with (*) can be received on the same day if requested during ward office extended hours or Sunday openings only, in accordance with the following times:

Certificate of original registration matters (200YEN)			Person making request on their own behalf must provide proof of own identity. Family members from the same household must provide proof of own identity. Proxies must provide authorization and proof of own identity.

*Family registers (and removals), excerpts, duplicates of amendments, and other certificates pertaining to family registers are available to those whose families are registered in Osaka City. All other certificates are available to those with Osaka City addresses only.
