Consultation Service for Foreign Residents

　In terms of the fact that the foreign residents living in Osaka City are just “a resident with foreign citizenship,” who constitute the local community as well as the Japanese citizens, Osaka City has formulated “The Basic Guideline for the Measures for the Foreign Residents,” for realization of the multicultural coexistence society in which the Japanese residents and the foreign residents understand the difference of each other’s culture or customs and live together with respecting each other, to endeavor to make the measures for the foreign residents complete.
　Of the foreign residents staying or living in Osaka city, quite a lot of them seem to be confused about the differences of language, lifestyle, social system and others, get inconvenient or feel uneasy in the daily lives, or worse, being involved in any troubles.
　So, in order for the foreign residents to not suffer damages due to language problem and others, we have set up “Consultation Service for the Foreign Residents,” which is available in seven different languages, as below.

Multilingual Consultation Service at the Ward Offices

　Each ward office provides the multilingual consultation service at specified telephone numbers. Inquiry, consultation and information are available in seven languages, regarding administrative services such as alien registration and national health insurance.
