Have you received applications for the Supplementary Income Payments and the Special Allowance for Child-Rearing?

 You need to submit application forms to receive  the Supplementary Income Payments and the Special Allowance for Child-Rearing.
 Please be sure to apply by November 2nd.
 If you have not received application forms yet, please contact the Supplementary Income Payments Center after mid-May. 

Amount for persons eligible to receive the Supplementary Income Payments.

 Persons eligible to receive the Supplementary Income Payments are: As of February 1st 2009,  persons who are registered as Japanese or foreign residents in Osaka City. (Note: Short-term stay residents are not eligible.) 

●Amount of the Supplementary Income Payments is 12,000 yen each person.
20,000 yen for persons aged 18 or below and persons aged 65 or over.

 Children born between April 2, 2002 to April 1, 2005 and are the second child and younger are eligible.
 *How to count the second and younger children: Count children born from April 2, 1990 in order of age.

●Amount of the Special Allowance for Child-Rearing is 36,000 yen per child.
* Applying for the direct payment at the teller window of each ward office will take a long time to process. It would be highly preferable to choose the account transfer payment.
* Please note that receiving by cash in person will take longer than receiving through a bank transfer. If you choose to receive cash, you may receive it after July.
