The park, which was opened at the end of April 1998, is the second largest
park in Sumiyoshi-ku. The grounds contain a sports field with facilities
for night games; wonderfully relaxing grassed areas featuring trees, streams,
and other water flows; and a promenade. There is a performance stage surrounded
by a manmade pond in which many Rabbit-Ear Irises bloom. The park is a
focal point for recreational and communal activities in the ward and draws
all sorts of visitors from children to seniors. |
