The ISO 14001 standard (known as “Environmental ISO E is an international standard setting out the specifications for the design of environmental management systems whereby organizations can contribute to the preservation of the global environment. The Waterworks Bureau obtained certification as the WTC government offices in December 2002 as part of the expansion of the city’s Environmental ISO certification (renewed in December 2005), and works to make its activities environmentally-friendly.
