The Waterworks Bureau has analyzed the waterworks for FY2005 using the performance indexes based on the Waterworks Guidelines, results as follows:
The Guidelines, instituted as of January 2005 by the Japan Water Works Association, are domestic standards to objectively assess waterworks in Japan from the perspective of safety, stability, sustainability, environment, management, and internationalization. As of the last fiscal year, as part of the PDCA cycle for business operations, the Waterworks Bureau has conducted its waterworks analysis using these indexes, the results of which are made available to the public.

Utilizing these guidelines, we are to analyze the operating conditions of Osaka City Waterworks by the performance indexes, publish the result of those indexes for customers and aim to improve the waterworks to a higher level.
