The Relationship of Cost and Water Rates

- Note 1: Comparison with the government-designated major cities and Tokyo.
- Note 2: Amounts exclude national or regional consumption taxes.
- Note 3: Cities charging by diameter assess charges per 13 mm (of diameter).
- Note 4: Meter rental fees are included in figures for cities that assess them.

Note 5: Tokyo offers a discount for payments made by bank transfer.
(Users paying by bank account transfer receive a discount of ¥52.5 per month (¥50 + 5% of ¥50), or ¥105 per payment)
Osaka City household water service rates are relatively low compared to rates for other cities.
