Getting Your Water Services Started, Suspending Your Service, or Changing the Name on an Account

• Getting Started( i.e. when you build a new house or move）
• Suspending Your Service( i.e. when you move out or are not going to use water services for a long time)
• Changing the Account Name( i.e. when you maintain the same service under a different customer name)

In the above instances, fill in the form as appropriate, sign your name and affix your seal, and mail or bring it to the Waterworks Bureau service office or service station 2-3 days in advance,

Entering your customer number, located on your receipt and your Water Use Notice, expedites the process significantly.

In cases other than those noted above, notify the Waterworks Bureau service office or service station if your account name has changed, your water use purposes have changed, for example, from industrial use to household or office use, or when the owner of the water service installation has changed.

However, if you are a resident of condominiums or apartment buildings managed by a Water Billing Center for Apartments, contact your managing company.

Online Application for Beginning or Suspending Your Water Services using Osaka City’s Electronic Application Form (Japanese only)

(Caution)
You can use Osaka City’s electronic application form to begin or suspend your water services, if you plan to do so on or after three business days following the day of your application (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays [December 29 – January 3]).

If you wish to begin or suspend your water services earlier than the above, apply by telephone to the Waterworks Bureau service office or service station.

You can apply for services via the Osaka City electronic form 24 hours a day. However, please be advised that the application service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or other reasons.
