Basic Rate

A minimum rate of 950 yen (before taxes) applies for 10 m³ or less used per month.

Excess Charges

Excess charges apply to water usage volumes exceeding 10 m³ per month. A gradually increasing rate system is used to determine excessive consumption, to which a higher rate applies for domestic and industrial uses; the rate increases with increased consumption.

  Purposes exclude industrial or public bathhouses use (homes, plants, etc.)

  • 1. Business prescribed in the first point of items 1-6 of Article 2, paragraph 1 of the Act on Control and Improvement of Amusement Business (e.g. bars, cabarets, etc.). However, this excludes small establishments.
  • 2. Items for viewing such as fountains, springs, waterfalls, etc.
  • 3. Unregulated public baths (Bathhouses exclude establishments subject to rate controls)
  • 4. Provisional use
  • 5. Other similar purposes

About Fee Calculation when Initiating or Suspending Water Service

The first water fee charged after initiating water service

The first water fee is calculated on the basis of the number of days (counted according to the table below) from the date of service initiation to the date of the first water metering, and on the volume of water consumed during that period.

• Water fee charged when suspending water service
  The water fee is calculated on the basis of the number of days (counted according to the table below) from the day after the previous metering date to the date of water service suspension, and the volume of water con sumed during that period.
