Kuragarigoe Nara Road
There were some main Roads, for instance " Kusakano Tadagoemichi " and others, connected with the Heijokyo (the capital) in the Nara period. The Tadagoemichi was the shortest to the capital, running straight from Osaka toward east, crossing the Ikoma mountains. We are now able to trace the Kuragarigoe Nara Road, which is partly overlapped with the Tadagoemichi Road It was also crowded from the Edo period with those who went to the Ise Shrine.
The Road which is winding from Tamatsukuri toward east, crossing the Tamatsubashi bridge toward southeast, has a vestige of its prosperity. We are able to find some guide posts which tell us the distance from the starting point of Koraibashi or others which was enough designed to be used as an all -night light.

Nara Road
The Road which was the shortest course to Nara was a steep path to cross the Ikoma mountains, so there were some other flat Roads. One of them was the Nara Road which is almost overlapped with Route 25. Even now it is partly running through the old town of Hirano district, but almost all of it is a main road crowded with cars running at full speed.

Shuntoku Road
The Shuntoku Road is running from the south gate of Shitennoji temple toward east, crossing the central part of Ikuno-ku from west to east. We are able to find a vestige of the Road from a loop line of JR railways to Imazato street, and an image of Jizo or a bridge named Shuntoku survived around the Road (Shuntokumaru is the leading part of a play first performed in 1660) .

Nakakoya Road
The Nakakoya Road is a long path divided from Moriguchi district which is situated along the Kyokaido road, running through this ward from south to north to meet the Nishikoya Road at Osakasayama City. It is running along the old historic towns, so we feel calm taking a walk around here.
