| @In the 21st year of Meiji an agricultural
school was founded in Sakai (Osaka Prefecture)
for training the leaders to promote the development
of agriculture. The school moved here after
two years, having been here until it again
moved to Sakai in the 14th year of Taisho
and at last it became the Osaka Prefectural
University. At that time there was a site
of about 55 hectares including almost all
the district of kita 3 cho-me, Katsuyama
and the northern part of minami 3 cho-me,
where an experimental farm was vastly located
here and the students also received stock
rising training. |
