The museum is a natural historical museum
that displays and explains on investigation
by excavation , interesting history of Osaka
and the connection with nature of those who
live in the Jomon and Yayoi era and so on
It has skeletal specimens of dinosaurus and
other precious collections and is the next
largest museum to the National Science Museum
. There is a big botanical garden out of
its building , in which we are able to see
the plant growing in Osaka two million years
ago and restoration is tried of a thick,
bright , dark blue leaves forest growing
on flatlands in the Jomon era . Such field
activities as an observation class of nature
or others are often opened .
The construction work of the Nagai Park
was begun in the 3 rd year of Showa . It
was stopped by the War for some time and
the ground was used for bicycle or horse
racing after the War .It was completed in
the 39 th year of Showa . It covers an area
of 70.5 hectares, where it is provided for
athletics, a baseball game, other ball games
and there is a sports -center building of
the physically handicapped.
