@The God Sukunahikonano-mikoto and others
are enshrined in this shrine.
The spirits were invited from the Ikunejinja
shrine situated to the north of the Sumiyositaisha
shrine.
@Summer festival is celebrated on the 24
,25 th of July .On that day such poles named
Daigaku are carried by lots of young men
as is the case of the festival in Akita Prefecture
and 78 lanterns were brightly lit at night.
Other shrines in the neighborhood also used
to have the same custom as such and were
crowded with people around here. Only one
of those poles survived the last War. |
