�@The big lantern is said to be founded toward the end of the Kamakura period as the first lighthouse in Japan , which was originally situated at the site of a monument about 200 meters toward west .But later it was collapsed by a typhoon and was removed by road works .The original site was near the seaside, so the lantern could  be used as a lighthouse . �@�@
