@The Abe Temple is said to be a guardian temple of the Abe family . Abeno Uchimaro who played an active role with Fujiwara Kamatari at the Reformation of the Taika era ( 646 ) was affiliated with the family . The foundation stone of the Abe Temple used to be situated here and was later moved to the Tengachaya Park . The stone tells us that there were once a cathedral and temple buildings on a considerable scale, Jukomon eaves tiles and onigawara tiles made in the Hakuho and Nara era were excavated around here . We are able to find a small shrine with a stone torii (a gateway at the entrance of the shrine ) at the site ( 6 -50, 3- chome, Matsuzaki-cho, Tennoji-ku ) There is a view that the name of Abeno has its origin in the Abe family .
