| @This shrine belongs to the Sumiyoshi Shrine
, situated at the different place of the
master Shrine and Ichikishimahimeno-Mikoto
is enshrined . From the time of Nara era
, this area was called Asazawa-Ono, for there
were lots of ponds and marshes , with the
Hosoe River running through and it was famous
for its kakitsubata flowers ( irises ) ,
so we are able to find its scenery in the
Manyoshu ( collected poems ) .Now a moat
surrounds the shrine and irrises are planted
as a keepsake . |
