@There is a still, little temple facing Kumano Road . Nobody knows when it was founded .The main image of Bishamonten (the god of welfare) was said to have been worshipped at a temple in Enotsu district The district was such that we could have often seen from the Nara to the Heian era and it was situated from here toward south , to the northern part of Sakai City .There is a big stone lantern in the precincts .The surface of it is worn out but we are able to find an inscription made on March , hinoe -ne in the third year of Kenmu (1336 ) , so the lantern was designated as one of the important works of art, According to a theory, the lantern was contributed by Kusunoki Masashige , who was born owing to his parent's prayer to the god worshipped in the temple .
