| It is unknown when the temple was founded .Base -stones left in the precincts and excavated tiles told us its former glory of the temple .The temple was in charge of prayer of the Emperor Shirakawa in the first year of Otoku (1084) and was rewarded the present title by the Emperor .The Emperor Gomurakami made an imperial visit to this temple two times after he lived at the Sumiyoshiangu temporary palace .The Fudomyoouryuzo (a statue) and the Aizenmyoouzazo (a seated figure) are designated as the cultural assets by Osaka Prefecture . |
