@A group of casters inhabited here and worked actively in the latter term of the medieval period . On late investigation by excavation forges and molds for casting copperwares and iron materials in the 14`15 th century were found around here .Since the last term of the Heian era it is well known that there was a group of influential casters from the district of Kawachi ( Osaka Prefecture) to Tannan (the southern part of Hyogo Prefecture) . It is not known whether the casters around here are originated from those of Kawachi and Tannan or not , but according to a record in the third year of Houreki (1451) of the Muromachi era which was concerning the casters living in Kawachi , we are able to find the names of casters such as Kawachi , Karita , Niwai and so on , so this indicates that they were connected with each other . The Abiko casters played an influential part , being superior to those in Kawachi under the protection of Nobunaga .
