�@The temple is said to be founded by Shotokutaishi or Priest Gyoki . There were once 36 affiliated temples in the precincts and being worshipped by Imperial Court and samurais , it was prosperous but was burned to ashes in a fire with its many treasures in the 14 th of Meiji . After reconstructed in the 23 rd of Meiji , it now survived without suffering from the War .It is crowded with people when the divine ceremony of the day before the lunar calendrical beginning of spring is performed .
