Special Treatment Support Project for Women Struggling with Infertility (Infertility Treatment Subsidy Project)

Project Name

Special Treatment Support Project for Women Struggling with Infertility (Infertility Treatment Subsidy Project)

Outline

Through this project, legally married couples with a strong desire to have children but who are determined by their doctor to be unable or highly unlikely to conceive without special infertility treatment (micro-insemination or in vitro fertilization) may receive subsidies for their treatment costs.

Procedure

Submit an application and doctor’s certificate along with other required forms to the Health Section of the Health and Welfare Center in your ward by April 30th (or the last business day of April if the 30th falls on a weekend or holiday) of the year following the year in which your treatment ended.

*Your treatment is considered ended on the day on which you are declared to have conceived (regardless of whether you are pregnant or not) or the day on which your doctor determines that treatment should be finished due to unavoidable reasons (day of treatment cancellation).

Please contact the Health Section of the Health and Welfare Center in your ward for more information on required documents.
