Owada-jo (Castle) Remains

In 1580 when ODA Nobunaga conquered the Settsu no Kuni kingdom, he had AWA Niemon build a castle in this place. Because Owada was an important transportation point from Kyoto to Yodogawa, passing Kanzaki-gawa and west, it was thought to be a strategic location. However, it is not clear how long this castle continued.

Now all that is left of the castle is a monument near the front gate of the Owada elementary school yard.
