Nakajima Daisuido Historical Monument (The boundary between Chifune and Himesato on the Onogawa Ryokuin Doro)
The story is handed down of how Nakajima Daisuido was built, promoted by SAWADA Kyuzaemon, the village head of Daido Village (the present Higashi Daido-cho, Higashiyodogawa Ward) and others, through the effort and great sacrifice of coastal villagers worked with one accord and dug the Nakajima Daisuido in 1678 from Awajihommachi 2-chome, Higashiyodogawa Ward to Fukumachi, Nishiyodogawa Ward.

Later, from 1897 to 1907 in connection with the renovation of Yodogawa River, Nakajima Daisuido and Ono-gawa River, which was a tributary of Kanzaki-gawa, gradually became confluent, and many years has provided the people of the area with many amenities.

However, in recent years along with the progress of urbanization in the surrounding region it has lost much of its function as a river, and along with downstream Ono-gawa has been subjected to land-fills but now it has been resurrected as a foot path and bicycle path filled with greenery.
