Iwasaki-bashi
Iwasaki-bashi connecting Taisho and Nishi Wards was built in June 1920, along with digging the Iwasaki Canal in December of the same year, and was the bridge over which the Kujo-Takatsu Line streetcar ran. The time when it was built was a transition period in bridge-building materials from iron to reinforced concrete, as shown by the construction of Naniwa-bashi appears in Nakanoshima which is a combination iron and ferro-concrete bridge, while Iwasaki-bashi appears to be the first ferro-concrete bridge in the city followed by Ebisu-bashi of Dotombori. Iwasaki-bashi was greatly enlarged between June 1965 and March 1974 and is now 75.6m wide with a road width of 19.2m (plus a sidewalk 1.5m wide). In the fall of 2001, on the Taisho Ward side of the retaining wall of Shirinashi-gawa, between Iwasaki-bashi and Iwamatsu-bashi pictures of Taisho bridges by citizens were painted with the caption: "Let's paint! Our town Taisho's Gallery."

Transportation: Take the JR, or subway to Taisho Station, or the city bus to Taisho-bashi and walk northwest 200m.
