Onami-bashi, built in March 1937, extends from Hamadori 2-chome, Sangen'ya ( today Sangenyahigashi 1-chome) downstream from Taisho-bashi to Naniwa Ward, becoming the bridge for the Namba Izuo Line at the time of the second city planning project, its name derived by combining the first characters of Taisho Ward and Naniwa Ward. It is 81.5m long with an effective road width of 19.4m (plus a sidewalk of 2.4m), with a ramp on both sides (on the Taisho Ward side, length 63.8m, width 20m), and later the main bridge was expanded to a road width of 21.7m.
Transportation: Take the JR or subway to Taisho Station, or the city bus to Taisho-bashi, and walk southeast 400m. |
