Kizu-gawa Watashi Ferry connects Funamachi 1-chome, Taisho Ward to Hirabayashikita 1-chome, Suminoe Ward, navigating directly beneath the Shin (New) Kizu-gawa Ohashi (Bridge). From 1955 to 1974 car ferries served as an important bridge carrying trucks, cars and bicycles. Today the ferry only carries people and bicycles. The width of the river (Kizu-gawa) is 238m. |
