The Ferry coexisting with a bridge
Sembommatsu Watashi Ferry connecting Okajima 1-chome, Taisho Ward to Minamitsumori 2-chome, Nishinari Ward passes directly under Sembommatsu Ohashi Bridge (nicknamed “Megane-bashi”, “Spectacles Bridge”). Ordinarily, when a bridge is built ferry service is discontinued, but because of the danger of walking or riding a bicycle across the bridge, this ferry continues to function. The width of the river (Kizu-gawa) is 230m. |

(The ferry leaves every 15 minutes, and as often as needed on weekdays 7:00 - 8:30 and 17:00 - 19:00.)
