<Overview>
First opened in 1909, Tennoji Park has one of the oldest and most colorful in Osaka. The rolling 28.2ha area is home to the former Sumitomo family estate’s Keitakuen Garden, Chausuyama Tumulus ancient burial mound, The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts, and Tennoji Zoo. With the 1987 Tennoji Exposition serving as a turning point, the park was refurbished and reopened. It is full of green and water, including mattress flower beds, a path along a stream, a water park, a rose arch, a greenhouse, and a multi-image theater that charms and delights visitors with its natural landscapes. Visitors are treated to bonsai and chrysanthemum exhibitions, and the park features a Christmas tree at the end of the year. Visitors can also get advice about flowers and greens next to Tennoji Gate.
