Opened by physician and Dutch scholar Ogata Koan, a historic
site that can be called the ancestor of Osaka University.
The building, an important cultural property, is a two
story town building of the Edo period. Valuable materials
concerning medical and Dutch studies are on display.

The Doshomachi Collection
of Medical materials

In order to publicize and make use of theDoshomachi collection of old medical materials, the shrine office of the Sukunahikona Temple was opened to the public. We introduce in enjoyable
and easy to understand displaysthe history of the town
and the distribution of medicine.

The collection at the Yuki Museum comprises about 970 items of tea ceremony and kaiseki utensils including 11 important cultural properties and 3 important artistic properties. The display room finished with juraku walls is a space providing an oasis of peace in the big city.

A permanent exhibit of Kamigata ukiyoe of the Edo period.
Compared to Edo ukiyoe Kamigata ukiyoe are full of human
feeling, the individual performers are depicted realistically,
and dress is shown in detail with a modern elegance.

Osaka Prefectural Kamigata
Entertainment Collection (Wahha Kamigata) |
Full of things that will bring back the old days and be
great fun. On the fourth floor exhibition hall, look,
listen, enjoy. The nostalgic world of Kamigata entertainment
uses high technology and traditional art freely in its
exhibits.

Osaka International Peace Center (Peace Osaka) |
A facility to let succeeding generations know about the
tragedy of war and the preciousness of peace. The building

A dynamic visual introduction to the progress of Osaka
City through full size reconstructions, models, and projections.
In the intervals of changing the exhibits,one can see
a panorama of Osaka Castle and Namba Shrine, and inspect
and inspect actual ancient artifacts in the basement.

Osaka Contemporary Art Center |
Established with the purpose of familiarizing as many
people as possible with modern art and deepening their
understanding of it. As well as holding planned exhibits
to introduce the work of artists in a multi-lateral manner
and exhibits to provide a place to scout for new talent,

of the Golden Teahouse and a collection of about 8,000
