To host the World Expo 2025 in Osaka
In the Kansai region with Osaka as its hub, companies and research institutes that boast the world’s highest level of technology are integrated, and there is also a variety of abundant cultural and tourism resources. In order to contribute to solving human issues by leveraging these factors, we are advancing efforts to bring the World Expo 2025 to Osaka.
The World Expo 2025 theme is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” and in addition to enabling individuals to consider what kind of life they aspire to lead and to take maximum advantage of their potential, the event will bring together international society to create a sustainable society to underpin those lifestyles.
By treating event venues as a “People’s Living Lab”—a testbed for new technologies and systems—World Expo 2025 will spur innovation by a diverse range of players and create a gigantic mechanism for implementing them in society.
