Lump Sum Birth Allowance (出産育児一時金について)

If you get enrolled in the National Health Insurance Program of Osaka City, you are eligible to receive benefits that will assist you in paying expenses related to childbirth. This system applies after 85 days of pregnancy even if the baby is miscarried or stillborn. Please apply at the department in charge of health insurance and pension programs at your local ward office. Additionally, there is also a system where Osaka City pays a Lump Sum Birth Allowance directly to medical institutions (domestic only). If you opt to receive the allowance in this manner, please consult with the medical institution where you receive medical care.
