Provision of Daily-use Equipment for Home-bound Elderly Persons (在宅高齢者日常生活用具給付事業)

Osaka City provides daily-use equipment to ensure greater safety for elderly persons living at home.

Eligibility Criteria (対象者の詳細)

Such equipment is provided to elderly persons aged 65 or older living at home, who do not have appropriate equipment at home, and meet the eligibility criteria set for each item.

General fire alarms(interlocked with emergency report system) Low-income elderly who need long-term care, and low-income elderly persons living alone and who need care for his/her handling fire.
* As alarm bell is set outside, letter of consent of the neighbors are required to submit prior to installment.
10 years Fire alarm unit (alarm device, alarm bell, heat-sensor type) .
When the unit detects smoke, it activates outside alarm bell to alarm the neighbors that the fire breaks out, along with connecting automatically to emergency report system and call 119 automatically.
Electronic cooking equipment Elderly persons living alone who require special fire precautions and others.
(Including any elderly person living with another elderly person, on condition that the latter person is not at home during the day or night on a daily basis, leaving the former alone at home.)
Six years Table-top type
Automatic fire extinguishers Low-income elderly persons who need long-term care, and low-income elderly persons living alone who need to care for his/her handling fire. Eight years Either for general use or kitchen use at the choice of the recipient
