The reclamation of land in Osaka became active from the era of Genroku(the end of 17th century ).
This area was reclaimed by Saigaya Shichibei, which was named Kasugade Shinden in the 11th year of Genroku(1698).
Hassyuken was one of the best gardens located in the newly reclaimed field club.
 Hasshu means eight countries.
People can enjoy a splendid view of eight districts such as Hyogo, Kyoto, Wakayama and so on.
A part of its building was moved to Yokohama City in the 39th year of Meiji and was designated as the important cultural asset but the others were burned to ashes by War.
