The site of Osaka Iron works   
   7-chome, Nishikujo, Konohana-ku the south of Kasugadebashi
[ Konohanakuyakusyomae ] by bus, about 800m to the south east
 Osaka Iron works was the origin of modern heavy industries in Osaka, which was founded as a shipbuilding works by an Englishman named Hunter.
 It was founded in the14th year of Meiji and the newest and most powerful works equipped with a steam engine of 6 horsepower.
 It was moved to Sakurajima in the 31th year of Meiji and became the present Hitachi Shipmaking Works.
