| Noda wisteria was famous ranking with
cherryblossom of Yoshino. The Shogunate Ashikaga Yoshiakira paid a visit to enjoy it in the 3rd year of Joji(1364) and Toyotomi Hideyoshi also came here accompanied with Sorori Shinzaemon and the others. A framed picture of wisteria of Shinzaemon's making is preserved in an old family. The wisteria was mentioned in all sorts of guide books to scenic spots but now we are not able to trace the remains that was reminded of. |
