Uraeshoten (Temple)
   14-2, 2-chome, Sagisu, Fukushima-ku
[ Fukushima 8-chome] by bus, about 200m to the northwest
The formal name is Nyoisan Ryotokuin. It's unknown when this temple was founded but this temple was said to be rebuilt in the first year of Genbun(1736).
The buildings were almost burned to ashes by War but only the Gate was left which was typical of the so-called Marukakuryu type of temple architecture (the other architecture of this type is the main building of Hirano Dainenbutsuji).
This area was famous for irises. There remains a haiku monument about irises by Basyo.
