Joyuji (Temple)
   3-5, 3-chome, Dojima, Kita-ku
[ Deiribashi ] by bus, about 100m to the south
 It's unknown when this Nichirenshu sect temple was founded.
 There are graves of Yato Chosuke and his son Emoshichi.
 Emoshichi was one of the famous 47 samurais of Uchiiri who made a raid on Kira Kozukenosuke in the 15th year of Genroku(1702).
 He was too poor to avenge his master's death at Edo, so he borrowed money from some of the villagers around him.
 When Oishi Yoshio heard of his debt, he paid back five Ryo to them and appreciated their kindness.
 After hearing from others of their successful revenge, they erected his and his father's grave.
 There is another famous grave named Godairiki Haka besides their graves ,of which was five victims of a real incident.
 A samurai went mad for his love affair and killed five people at Sonezakishinchi in Summer in the 2nd year of Genbun(1737).
 The incident wan soon dramatized as usual called "Godairiki koinofujime" and became popular.
