The site of Osaka Central Post Office

[ Yodoyabashi ] by Midosuji Line and Keihan Line, about 100m to the north
 Japanese first postal system was established on March , in the 4th year of Meiji, between Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo.
 Here is the site of Post Office (the warehouse of the Shimabara clan in the era of Edo). It was equal to the Central Post Office of today.
 The mailbox was also set up and 53 letters was dropped onto it for the first 3days and it took about 75hours for them to get to Tokyo.
