The site of Temma Greengrocery Market
   3-chome, Temma, Kita-ku, Minamitemma Park
[ Temmabashi ] by Tanimachi Line and Keihan Line, about 200m to the northwest
The Market was situated to the west walking from the northern end of the Temmabashi to the Tenjinbashi and its prosperous state was illustrated in the Settsu Meisyozue.
At first it was born spontaneously for the source of supply of the Ishiyama Honganji temple and later was situated around the northern end of Kyobashi just before being moved to this place in the second year of Jhowo(1653).
At that time it played such main role that controlled the market price by supplying people with vegetables and fruit.
The market was absorbed by the Central Wholesale Market in the 6th year of Showa(1931).
