The site of Nodabashi Bridge
    9-39, 2-chome, Katamachi, Miyakojima-ku
[ Osaka-jo kitazume ] by Tozai Line, about 100m to the east
In this neighborhood the Namazuegawa river ran parallel with the Neyagawa river.
The bridge crossed over the river and was in the course of the Kyokaido Road, so it was regarded as important. In the Edo era it was designated as one of 12 official bridges of the shogunate together with the Bizenjima bridge, located down the river and with the Kyobashi bridge, located at the north front of Osaka Castle and the starting point of the Kyokaido Road.
This bridge lasted until the Namazue river was reclaimed in the first years of Showa.
