Achihayaojinja (Shrine)
    31, 3-chome, Hanatenhigashi, Tsurumi-ku
[ Hanaten ] by Katamachi Line, about 200m to the northeast
This shrine was so old that it was listed in the record of "Engishiki".
Legend has it that a man robbed the dedicated sword named Kusanaginotsurugi from the Atsuta Shrine in the 7th year of the Emperor Tenji(668) and that he got away successfully to reach at last around here but came across a violent storm, so he escaped leaving the sword.
The residents worshipped it in this shrine and later it was returned to the Atsutajingu Shrine.
This shrine has a camphor tree more than 400 years old that was designated as a precious natural product by Osaka Prefecture.
A lantern called Okagedoro is located (made and contributed in the 4th year of Keio) in the precinct, on the right hand of the front Torii gate.
In the Edo era, pilgrimages to the Ise Shrines were all the rage about every 60 years, when people would often contribute lanterns along the Road to worship the Ise Shrines.
This is the only one lantern left in Osaka City.
