| We are able to see the road instead of
the river with the distinct color zone of
cobalt-blue and yellow under the Oshimabashi
bridge. There used to be the site of Ohnogawa
river and Nakajima big canal here and many
people made use of it as transportation and
irrigation from an early times. But people
gradually ceased to make use of it as a river
with the development of urbanization around
here and at last it became a river full of
sludge. So reclamation work was made for
8 years and it became a new road as it is.
It has about the length of 3.8km, the width
of 19-47m, trees of 120,000 full of green
verdure. And it is provided as a road of
cycling and running and becomes a place of
recreation and relaxation for the citizens. |
