@The Yodogawa Eguchi course is a tour around the district that has been deeply concerned historically in the Yodogawa river. Eguchi was very crowded with those people who are going to and from Kyoto by water from the last years of Heian (794-1191) to the Kamakura (1192-1333) period, where you are able to think of the prosperity of those days and the talk through the night made between the priest Saigyo (1118-1190) and the daughter of the Heike clan named Tae. And then you get to the big Nakajima canal which played a great role of the improvement and irrigation of water from the Edo period. Besides, there are routes and streets which have some vestiges of the old Road and the historical sites and legend around the Sozenji temple let us think of those days gone by or you can enjoy a fine view on the bank of the Yodogawa river that was the stage of transportation by water, and enjoy rambling walk on the Ohnogawa Road for pedestrians and bicycles covered in fresh greenery. You can enjoy various kinds of pleasure such as above-mentioned.
