The building of the Memorial hall of waterworks which is located next to the Kunijima Filtration Plant was built in the 3rd year of Taisyo as a place for pumping water for delivery ( later calledthe first place of pumping water for delivery) according to the design of Mr. Heizo Mune, who was a senior member of the architects in Kansai region.
From that time on, it played an active and important role as a chief pumping place to keep delivering safe and good water to the citizens of Osaka.
It finished its role to give place to the new pumping place which was built in the61st year of Showa and changed its appearance as a place of display familiar with the citizens of Osaka in the 7th year of Heisei.
The exhibition was used to display the water tank of freshwater fish and introduce the history of waterworks in Osaka.
