Bicycles are pollution-free and healthy,
so they are made good use of for our daily
life such as commute, attending school, shopping
and so on. Osaka City is providing the citizens on a large scale with roads for recreation and cycling. The road for cycling around the northern Osaka has been accomplished 20km long from the Nakanoshima park to the Bankokuhaku memorial park and is made good use of by many citizens. The construction for providing the Naniwajitenshado (Naniwa road for bicycles) is now going on and a part of it has already been accomplished. The course of it is running from the north end of the Akagawa iron bridge of the JR Jotokamotsu line toward the upper stream by way of the right bank (north bank) of the Yodogawa river to the Jakkoji temple and the sluice of the Kanzakigawa river and from there running to Dekijima, Nishiyodogawa-ku, national road Route 43 by way of the left bank (the south bank) of the Kanzakigawa river toward the lower stream, which is 21.6km long. The course of it is situated to run from the east to the west of the northern part of Osaka and you are able to make a tour of the historic scenes effectively along the course. |
