This
is actually the portable shrine resting place for Shikitsu Matsunomiya
Shrine in Naniwa-ku. It is said that the aforementioned shrine was created
when Empress Jingu sailed through Shikitsuhama accompanied by Sukune Takenouchi
and planted three pine (matsu) trees as a form of prayer for a safe journey.
The shrine was initially called Matsumotonomiya and called Yasaka Shrine
at the time of the Meiji Restoration. The enshrined deities are Susano,
Kushiinadahime, Hachioji, Okuninushi, Kotoshironushi, and Sukunahikona.
